The Makita XGT® brushless cordless 5 Inch angle grinder kit is powered by a Makita-built 40 Volt brushless motor that delivers an operating speed of 8500 RPM for heavy-duty applications. Grinder gives more cutting speed when cutting 5/8 Inch rebar that helps in cutting a wide range of materials such as tile, concrete, pipe, conduit and more. Electric current limiter reduces the overloading of motor in high torque applications. Automatic speed change mechanism adjusts the speed and torque automatically depending upon the applications. Electric brake ceases the grinding in just 2 seconds or less. If the rotation of the wheel comes to a stop, the active feedback-sensing technology turns off the motor immediately. Paddle switch gives power-start press points at multiple grip positions for user convenience and the quick guard rotation facilitates tool-less adjustments. Anti-restart mechanism prevents sudden initiation of the motor when the battery is inserted while the sliding switch is still on. Soft-start mechanism negates start-up reaction for easy initiation of the motor.
