The Honda 240cc 8 HP Recoil Engine provides quiet, but heavy-duty power and can be used in small vehicles, water pumps, generators and other outdoor power equipment. It’s a 4-stroke air-cooled engine with a net power of 7.9 HP at 3,600 RPM. The HONDA air-cooled engine has an overhead valve design, which increases fuel efficiency. It also boasts a digital CDI with variable ignition timing system and an electric recoil starting system. To improve startup simplicity, the recoil engine comes equipped with an automatic mechanical decompression system, which reduces the force necessary to start the engine. It operates quietly, thanks to a multiple-chamber exhaust system, a heavy-duty crankcase, steel crankshaft, helical-cut gears and a premium air-intake system. To ensure the Honda 8 HP engine has a long lifespan, it is made from superior finishes and materials and uses dual air filter elements. In addition, it is protected by a Honda Oil Alert® system inside its crankcase, which shuts down the engine automatically if it detects low oil. The engine also boasts an easy-to-use throttle control, as well as a large fuel cap and large tanks. Maintenance on the engine is simple as well, thanks to a conveniently-located spark plug and control box.
